this was a direct response to this
not to you
also denuvo is 100,000 euros, not 100 million
seems these days the devs WANT people to jack sparrow their stuff with how poorly they treat customers
Just a correction but Denuvo is only
https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-x443idlstvufi
At $69.99 per month this translates to needing a mere... 360 games sold to cover Denuvo costs breaking even and anything beyond that comes out to 69.49 per sale before any other costs (like Steam split, etc.).
If on a huge sale with a price of only $20 per game purchase it would only take 1,282 sells to cover the $25,000 monthly fee and afterwards they would make $19.50 for the rest of the month.
Actually, these are simplified for sake of basic math and missing info. The reality is the stuff like split with Steam and any other fees come before the Denuvo take away and will thus require a few more sells, but not by much (not even 200%).
These are trivial figures. I'm not sure where you got "100.000.000€ base" from or what is with the common misconception around its pricing. Why didn't you just... Google before making this thread?
I'm sure most of the devs at Capcom actually agree with us.
Sadly, Capcom just doesn't get it. Some of their best modders are Japanese even, and they rather carpet bomb the entire fandom than risk any minor secondhand embarrassment. That is not the sign of a strong company or leadership. That is the symbol of cowardice and complacency.
