so, about this enigma drm…
did they just google some random **** and found the cheapest license? its 400$ compared to denuvo’s 100.000.000€ base.
plus it seems made by some russians, website doesnt refer to any company , no registration number….zoominfo has this adress
9625 W 76th St Ste 150, Eden Prairie, Minnesota, 55344, United States
which, checking google maps, seems completely fake

they really trying to put crap on my computer? just google this enigmaprotector dot com, genuinely seems like some scam site, may as well have trojans hidden in the obfuscation

capcom already use denuvo on every game, denuvo anti tamper doesn't prevent modding or cheating which is what enigma is for

It wouldn't be the first time. You should have seen the piece of trash DRM they launched Monster Hunter Iceborne with. Almost no one could even play the game unless they had a supercomputer until it got removed.

what does that have to do with what i said

this was a direct response to this

Er...

Just a correction but Denuvo is only
License Fee Per game activation (license sold) protected by Denuvo Anti-Tamper $0.5
Monthly Fee Per game protected by Denuvo Anti-Tamper per month $25,000
https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-x443idlstvufi

At $69.99 per month this translates to needing a mere... 360 games sold to cover Denuvo costs breaking even and anything beyond that comes out to 69.49 per sale before any other costs (like Steam split, etc.).

If on a huge sale with a price of only $20 per game purchase it would only take 1,282 sells to cover the $25,000 monthly fee and afterwards they would make $19.50 for the rest of the month.

Actually, these are simplified for sake of basic math and missing info. The reality is the stuff like split with Steam and any other fees come before the Denuvo take away and will thus require a few more sells, but not by much (not even 200%).

These are trivial figures. I'm not sure where you got "100.000.000€ base" from or what is with the common misconception around its pricing. Why didn't you just... Google before making this thread?

Capcom execs who have been alive since teh Edo period decided the Chun Li skin is corrupting public morals and violated Nipponese obscenity laws, so they've made sure there can never be a scandal like that ever again.

I'm sure most of the devs at Capcom actually agree with us.

Capcom were using Enigma DRM way before the Chun-Li incident. Even the SF6 beta had it and there was absolutely no problem making file mods. So no, it's not because of the Chun-Li incident and this DRM doesn't stop nude mods.

I'm not my updating my copy to the Enigma update unless they either keep to Denuvo only or to no protection at all.

This is just more unethical practices from a company who has a long history of unethical practices. If they wanted to stop nudie mods, there was a far easier way than killing all mod support and punishing the entirety of their modding community. A collective of people who make their games even better, and live longer, and worth paying for to this day; people who love these games so much, that they're willing to put in all that effort without any compensation.

Sadly, Capcom just doesn't get it. Some of their best modders are Japanese even, and they rather carpet bomb the entire fandom than risk any minor secondhand embarrassment. That is not the sign of a strong company or leadership. That is the symbol of cowardice and complacency.
