I know, still don't care on principle, I wont buy a capcom game until they stop this madness
And why don't they just ban that SF6 player instead for lifetime instead of ruining the gaming experience for everyone.
I myself don't care for mods but I only know how much Anti-temper from Denuvo for example ruins the performance and if my PC is not up to par with the specs because of DRM, I won't be buying either.
Can't wait for more excuses from the sites of Capcom to ruining theirselves.
With Denuvo, at least there's the sort of hope/established trend that Capcom patches it out after 6-12 months once they've stopped shipping DLC, because it's 3rd party licence they need to pay for, a thing they've done with RE7-8-RE2R-3R- and I think a bunch of their other games like Monster Hunter.
Don't know how the licencing works with Enigma, maybe it's cheaper to leave that in games for perpetuity?
But the Security Engineer over at Capcom wants to convince the higher-ups to ditch 3rd party anti-tamper DRM in favour of developing their own, meaning if they manage to develop their own inhouse anti-tamper DRM that effectively blocks mods and all, then they don't need to worry about paying someone else, so they can just leave the DRM sitting in their games indefinitely for all of their existence.
That's the scarier part.
Absolutely tbh, part of this is because I am tired of paying for games not being able to refund them, and I don't even actually own them, if they are single-player I cant even customise my own experience and mod them, I have to sign up to a tonne of spyware and third party programs bloating my system, I already had very negative experiences of valorant breaking my bios and i'd never mod a mp game but no, honestly no more.
Even if all games companies go that way I simply will not game anymore, I will stick with my old ones.
Good luck Crapcom, Do you think Denuvo will protect you forever?
Ok good for you, go back to playing dominions
Giving them a little time to backtrack, but your right, it shouldn't matter but this is the only resi game I have on my computer modded at the moment, resident evil 5/6 are unmodded but already don't run great.
Because RE4 Remake will be next in line to receive the same treatment. All mods will be blocked, including DLSS.
I am already boycotting them cuz their stuff isnt apeeling to me.
