I had the same problem a few days ago

Go to top left Steam → Settings → Downloads → Clear Download Cache

It's possible that some mods you had installed previously left something behind but I'm not sure

OR, by ANY chance, do you have ANY DLC unlockers or family share bypass program enabled? :llama:
If you have a large amount of saves it can take a considerable amount of time to progress past the black screen after the RE Engine logo. If that's the case, just let it sit for a few minutes.

I just turned off steam cloud and it fixed by it self.

Nope, I do use mods like REFrameworks and any mods that require REFrameworks, but I never use any DLC unlocker or something like that. This is not my first time playing RE4Remake I just want to replay this game with different mods, but this random problem come out of nowhere.
O: I need to try this solution.

Have you previously had any saves in the Steam Cloud? Considering it's not your first playthrough. That's probably what @PJthePlayer meant, I guess

You should try deleting some unnecessary saves from the Cloud. This could solve the issue. Give it a shot

The issue typically stems from how RE engine checks your saves upon start-up since RE4R, and it does sound like a lazy incompetent programmer who coded that part of the game. No games should take a century to process the save files.
