Ramon Salazar Boss fight is damn difficult

As the title says, he does that 1 hit kill moves that gets me every time. I have plenty of ammo and a couple of heals but they are no use when he insta-kill me in the first 60 seconds. So how did you deal with him? Do you have any tip or trick? What is the best way to deal with this boss and how did you do it?

Do you have the golden egg? Throwing the golden egg at him will drop his health by 70%

Before the fight you should pick up the gold chicken egg from the throne room. It takes away like 70% of his health if you throw it at him.

I mostly just circle him around the pillar. Works well for me, especially for the insta-kill.

if you dont want to be a pu55y and just confront him the normal way, everytime he opens his mouth to do the HK on you, just run to the different direction hes going, for example, if hes cornering you and is to your left, simply run to the right trying to hug the wall as most as possible, thats the way to counter this attack, plus, when he vomits the black acid, you can either use a wall to protect yourself or stay in the middle of the blasts, will always be a 3 blast section, you can pick the right or left gap in order to not get hit by them, thus also giving you an opening to shoot his weak point when his is stuck on his vomiting animation

All you need to utilise is the large pillar that is on one side of the room. You can shoot him while he is attacking without taking damage.

How did anyone figure out throwing a golden chicken egg at him would do that? Logically doesn’t sound like it would do anything

It's by far the hardest fight in the game. Like other people have said, stick around the central pillar to block his attacks and play it safe. Be patient, don't get greedy with your attacks, and just wear him down.

Oh, and turn off the sound. It's so much easier to concentrate without that irritating little ♥♥♥♥ prattling through his hour long monologue every time you fight him.

That or someone had the idea from the side quest and happened to discover that throwing a golden egg would do that.

The game literally tells you, lol.
for one of the requests you have to throw an egg at salazar's painting, and they tell you he's allergic to eggs..

The other way to do it is to use mines when the face is open.

I shot him in the face with a rocket.

I used mines, .45, threw a grenade in his mouth, melee'd him intentionally during his kill move attempt, and ran up and down and used both floors a lot. Also both the CQBR and semi automatic rifle.

Overall felt like an incredibly satisfying boss fight and only took me a few tries because I got snacked the first few times and had to learn about the range of it.
