97% wtf you taking about? his video right now has 35k up votes and 28k down votes.
at least on steam you have to purchase the game.
Ok that made no sense.
if he thinks its soulless then thats his take not really the overall temp of the reception made.
you cant usually get 97% of the people to agree on anything, but in this case they all agree the game is good. none of them are paid and even if 1000 of them were paid it wouldn't change the numbers.
two things we know for a fact, the sales are extremely good and steam users think the game is better than the old one.
crowbcat's premise is correct (not the soulless part) the ost in new re games is quit af. that doesn't make it bad its just some people like the old osts of re games. for me i will always remember re1,re2,re3, and cvx as the best osts in re franchise history.
The newer re games (ost wise not gameplay) are disappointing. The only time i remember hearing an ost in Re4r is the generic action music and the save theme.(which is quiet af.) Re2r is the same. Very quiet most of the original sounds were just deleted.
Overall i like re4r much better than re4og but that is because of the gameplay and not the ost.
Thing is, people actually like RE4R, so this time it was much easier to figure out the nature of his style of videos.
If you hate garbage like this, the only sensible thing is don't click on the vids nor articles backed by ad revenue. The more you click and argue, the more exposure ppl like Crowbcat you empower to continue; which side you're personally on doesn't really matter. Want to win? Starve toxic nonsense like this out by ignoring it.
Indeed a lot of people label him as the king of the video game industry critic. I used to watch this guy because he brings very good in-depth comparisons and analysis of video games and their industry. He hasn't been posting a lot recently, while we had so many fiascos goin' on. But instead, he chose to "compare" the Remake, while there're so many other games that deserve more compilations.
