Game feels too short for some reason
I have 13 hours and I'm on chapter 13, average game time for me is like 12 hours, so this game is already longer than average, but yet, I have feeling like it would be too short, like would lack of something (didn't played the OG).
Maybe it's because how fast I managed to get there, I don't know, yet I feel like something would just be wrong.
I had same feeling while playing Atomic Heart for some reason.
Maybe now I need longer games for 20+ hours or something, idk

Well they re-imaged a lot of parts of the game and sadly cut many things out as a result.

Game feels shorter even though it isn't likely for that. Castle for example felt super short, as it's missing quite a lot, but what is there is longer...

Approaching the castle gates used to be the last hurrah of the villagers with even a truck trying to run you over.

You will find a lot of changes like that.

It's short if you play it fast. It takes me a long time because I need to steal everything that isn't nailed down and come back for the stuff that is.

The game does have some content scrapped and some of the scenic routes shortened.

It has less set pieces overall, but the set pieces linger for longer because there are more enemies and the dynamic difficulty makes killing them slower (eating several headshot wounds and such without staggering).

So you go through less level, but what level you are in you stay longer. I guess it sort of evens out, but I personally find it to be a downgrade from the Original.

Only played through once, I have 21 hours on record, so around 18 hours.
The OG i have a lot of experience with.

RE4R is the longest of the remake games, easily. The remakes mostly follow the length of the original games, too.

RE1 is incredibly short if you don't spend hours running around the same areas you've been in before trying to find the key necessary to unlock the next room for progress.

RE2 is a bit longer than RE1, but still pretty short even if you bumble around in the police station to find any missed items. Having an A and B scenario for each character pads it out a bit as they have somewhat different experiences in mostly the same areas.

RE3 is incredibly short, and quite linear. There isn't even much room for having to backtrack for key items like in the previous two games.

RE4 is where the games started getting longer. Still fairly linear, but you can spend a lot of time going to hunt for treasures and finish off any remaining enemies before progressing to the next "region" of the map. (Village, Castle, Island)

The OP made a journal entry on Steam forums by mistake. They were pointing out that even though they have spent more time on this than their average game, and even though they aren't done with the game, it just "feel short."

As you may well know, feelings don't care about facts, so if the OP feels like this game that is longer than their average game is short, it's short.

I generally "sit" on the forum of a game I'm currently engaged with. Don't worry I remember you and your threads on atomic hearts forums about how the robot twins fulfilled your loneliness or some weird nonsense like that.

If the Twins were voiced by Nora, though... :re3stars:

RE3R is shorter than a wrapper of hubba bubba. This was the perfect length.

You actually managed to explain the OP in way that makes sense. Impressive.

Play RE3R and you will see short, RE4R is gracious in terms of content

and here is me counting every second and allocating my save points so I can meet the requirement for S+ rank. (finish the game in under 5.5 hour) Lmao.

It is long enough as is. I am on my 3rd play through. This type of game is supposed to be played several time over. I am pretty burnt out after the second run. This S+ run should be my last.

There should be an Ada wong DLC coming just like the original which tells Ada's story along side of Leon's. It will add probably 1/3 to 1/2 as long as the main story worth of content.
