Dog whimpers after first el gigante.

Aight, so i've been ignoring it on my first playthrough, but not in new game +.

After the first el gigante fight, where the dog helps you, you clearly hear the fella whimper out there somewhere around the arena, and i don't seem to find him, is that normal ? Can't seem to find anything on that subject, with all the crap guide on "treasure finding" popping by the thousands.

To the left of the exit that takes you back to the church on the rocks slightly above your head.

After the fight, the dog will sit on stone slab next to the path lead toward your next objective. The dog will sit there until the end of chapter. The stone slab has same color as the dog so you may need a sharp eye to see the dog.
