If you're getting hit, you missed.
Copium?
Also not to mention that in some situations like the Krauser fight u just need a knife and i cant imagine what kind of pain its gonna be with this i guess bugged parry system.
Pitchforks can be perfectly parried.
You can make a save near X enemy and just practise parries on it. I'm sure you'll get it down eventually.
And you'll really appreciate the Parry system once you get the most out of it.
Breathe in, don't tilt and you'll nail it.
I myself have no problem timing stuff in other games. I almost always do perfect blocks especially in other different games.
One thing I've noticed is that animations take priority over user input, so if you're in the middle of another action, the parry might not activate. But I've also just had it flat out not work while standing there and practicing despite hitting the button at the right time (repeatedly getting hit while timing the enemy swing and/or looking for the flashing icon in the bottom right).
But I guess the good news there is that you don't need the janky parry timing to work in order to get S+ rank
Next time you encounter a pitchfork dude, test it on him. Look at the space between the incoming weapon and Leon, and time right before it touches leon. Boom perfect parry. Applies to all parriable attacks. Attack touch hitbox = Parry timing.
Capcom has fighting game dna in its blood and the parry system was born from it I'm sure.
Timing is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ to ♥♥♥♥ if you are in a sprint away animation though so that's always rng depending on Leon's rotation.
