The game no longer has pin point accuracy aiming across all weapons so a lot of weapons perform differently in terms of feel and critical hits. Laser sighted weapons now mean you hit where you aim and that the weapon always has maximum critical chance.
My take is that Matilda w/stock and the rifles are all great for DPS. Matilda can put out more bullets in the span of a few seconds than any full auto weapon. The rifles have weak point damage multipliers which makes them great for damage phases.
I don't really use magnums or submachine guns because I prefer to spread upgrades to only three weapons.
I dunno about some internet lists but Killer7 is better once you realize that raw dps isn't always the one and only factor in this game that makes a weapon good.
Killer7 is better than the BB because you can actually hit stuff with it without being in melee range. They nerfed the BB pretty hard. If you can land every single shot. Sure the BB and even the handcannon ofc do more dmg per shot.
I consider killer7 the best magnum. Red9 the best raw dps handgun. Riotgun the best shotgun because you hit one enemy with every pallet resulting in maximized dmg.
Dps king would be the assault rifle. If you can land every shot and have a LOT of rifle ammo. Prefer more dmg per bullet tho.
I think.
