chicago or hand cannon for pro s+?

(thank you to those who gave me advice regarding Del Lago on Pro. finally beat him this morning on my second try after listening to some of the comments. truly grateful for the support, now moving on.)

from the videos I've seen covering s+ tips, people usually go for investing the first upgrade ticket into the type writer, but I believe those videos were made and released before hand cannon was given for simply doing S rank on all maps on Mercenaries mode, since hand cannon was way harder to get before that update.

going to attempt my first new game pro s+ run today or tomorrow, kind of nervous without having all my gear at the start but it's bound to happen at some point.

which of the two should I bee line to use the ticket on: type writer or hand cannon?

It's not possible to use those weapons in a new playthrough on professional which is required to get an S+ rating without modding or cheating. This is my current understanding and I wasn't able to access them in my pro s+ playthrough.

it is possible, and I am aware of the S+ requirements for Professional. they will be put in your storage on any playthrough you create since those are CP weapons. videos I've seen literally recommended you unlock typewriter to help you on an S+ run.

Chicago would be easier thanks to the accuracy but it's now the harder weapon to get. Faster/Easier is just saving up enough money to full upgrade Handcannon, and unlock it from Mercs.

I can see this now. I made my run so much hander than it needed to be I never did buy them and that's why I never saw them. I just checked my save before the end boss and they are there

I have both, so either way I can choose which to upgrade with a ticket. Are you saying you prefer going hand cannon over typewriter in a pro S+ run?

Handcannon is going to give you nonstop frustration in any area that spawns novistador. Pick Chicago, easier to use and effectively strong against everything in the game.

I used the Handcannon for S+ Pro and preferred it honestly, but I also didn't have much issue hitting things and used a backup unupgraded Stingray for anytime there were stuff like precise shooting puzzles and such.
