Audio keeps cutting
Don't really know what to do or what could cause this. When the game first came out I played it and it was awesome. Just recently decided to go play Seperate Ways as I thought it could be fun but my audio keeps cutting out. Tried googling it and couldn't find anything that fixed it. I tried a few of their solutions but couldn't find the fix. The only difference is I am playing with a PS5 controller now and I think when the game came out I played with an Xbox controller maybe but I can't honestly remember.

The PS5 controller is recognized by Windows as both a controller and an audio device. Go to your sound devices in Windows and try disabling the PS5 controller and/or making sure your preferred audio device is set as default.

Just got to test this out finally and you are a lifesaver mate. Thank you.

Disabling that audio device will prevent you from using the haptic triggers and advanced rumble stuff in games that support it.

Just an FYI.

NOOOOOO is there any other way to get around this stuff or no?

Not sure, I don't have one myself. I just know that's how the haptics work under windows.

You can try leaving your DualSense plugged in, go to your audio devices, and just make sure that your default audio device is your preferred one, while leaving the DualSense audio as enabled.

Though in this case, I don't think RE4R on PC supports any DualSense haptics.

RE4 doesn't support them, no. There are a few games on steam that do, and they all require the controller to be plugged in for the features to work.

RE4 definitely does have much better vibration when the device is plugged in.
