Code Veronica on PC?
Any way I can play it on PC? I heard RE0 and CV Remake are in development, so I want to play them before they get released.

Btw, if you're into achievement hunting and want to earn them in RE:CVX, you can set up an account at retroachievements.org and link your emulator to the account and earn achievements through the website(requires a constant online connection, though).

RE:CVX // PS2(use PCSX2 emulator):
https://retroachievements.org/game/1303

RE:CVX // Dreamcast(use RetroArch or RALibretro w/ Flycast core)
https://retroachievements.org/game/3866

Most of the classic Resi games have achievement sets on the site(RE Outbreak File 1 & 2 just dropped recently - in addition to single player support, each has separate online multiplayer subsets too :re2stars: )

Will they still work if I install HD textures, widescreen, and door skip mods?

I’ll figure out how to do that with Dolphin. Thanks!

Retroachievements doesn't (publicly)support the Dolphin emulator yet. Like I said previously, you'll have to use either RetroArch or RALibretro with the Flycast core, with the Dreamcast version or PCSX2 with the PS2 version.

They've been working on adding support for Dolphin for a long time though and it's in the final testing phases now. They've said on the RA forums the release will be sometime in the summer/fall so hopefully we'll have it within the next few months. They've already got 60+ Gamecube achievements sets ready to go:

It'll absolutely work with HD textures. However, widescreen or door skip mods may not work with RA as those modify memory in order to work, and the retroachievements system reads memory so they may not work together at the same time.(It might still work, but I know if the mods change the memory too much the RA system won't even recognize the iso as 'Code Veronica', it'll see it as an unknown/unsupported game. Try it and see ig)

Screw it I'll just play it on Dolphin since I already have door skip and HD texture mods installed there.

I already have RetroArch installed but haven't yet installed CV, but I'm having second thoughts. I'll just play CV on Dolphin.

Edit: Yeah I’m struggling installing CV into RetroArch.

Don't use Retroarch. It's too complicated for its own good. Download Dolphin and you'll see how much simpler it is.

RCPS3, Dolphin, PCSX2, SNES 9X - all you need.

I managed to install it on PCSX2, but the problem I'm having right now is hiding the hardcore timer that runs on the bottom right of my screen.

Hardcore timer? Is that a thing IN the game?

No, it's part of RetroAchievements. It shows icons in the lower-right corner of the screen when a challenge or primed achievement is active.

From what I can guess is that it's some kind of leaderboard tracker.

No worries, I figured out how to hide them in PCSX2 by going to the following: Settings --> Achievements --> Toggle "Enable In-Game Overlays" off.

How's the stability? PCSX2 can be finicky, that's why I recommended Dolphin.

So far I'm satisfied with it. I installed a custom HD texture pack by S1NKO. As far about the stability, I can't answer yet because I still haven't started my real gameplay yet. But I've been doing some test runs, only stopping as far as the part where you deposit weapons at the beginning section to make keyboard controls work with CV:X. So far it's been running smoothly.

The reason why I'm using PCSX2 over Dolphin is because RetroAchievements has support for PCSX2, not Dolphin. I also want to earn achievements while playing CV:X.

I just finished the story. I had fun live-streaming it. I breezed through the game pretty smoothly until I got soft locked by Alexia’s 2nd boss fight. So I had to start over from Chris’s story again at the beginning.

Thank you very much about telling me about RetroAchievements. I managed to sync it up on PCSX2 along with some HD texture mods by S1NKO widescreen. So far I managed to get 50% of the achievements overall.

Here is my RetroAchievement account if you want to see what I’ve achieved in CV:
