Just recently I've googled around, and looks like there are about 5 new games in development at Capcom. One oh which, is likely to be RECV, any confirmation yet? I hope so!

I'd rather a reboot instead of anymore remakes. while I enjoyed the remakes I think when resident evil was originally conceived it wasn't intended to be around as long as it has been. If more stars members had survived the mansion/city, umbrella found some way to cover up the racoon city incident the story lines in the games could be close to the roots of the series which is survival horror. not to mention at this point since the games are taking place in the year they come out most of the characters are pushing 55+ as much as I enjoy the games a reboot that mirrors the original story line but with future plots in mind would be better.

I consider the remake series as a "soft reboot" of the franchise, but I agree with you. To mention, back in the day, who owned a PS and not a Nintendo would miss chunks of the story line because of different hardware. That was the most upsetting part, having different RE games splitted on different console. And that's why I stopped buying console after the PS2, and stick with PC.

Anyways, a radical reboot would make sense, but I suppose that will happen far in the future, if ever. We know Capcom is going to stick with the current remakes for a while. And somehow, the reamkes are fixing the problems we had with the OGs.

I'll still welcome any remake that will come to pass, finally on multi hardware for everyone.

If CVX remake does come 5 changes I’d love to see

Lower the damage done by Steve boss always had to use 1 health per hit just to get to the gate

Ability to aim the RL up or Down

Liner launcher as a bonus weapon

Remove that stupid cannon trap with the self destruct key card

Allow a few saves for A rank

mid boss uses knife
final boss wears trench coat and glasses
section 2 through a castle owned by aristocrat who does annoying voice

The lore is, direct sequel to RE2, story wise. That's why it would benefit a lot with a remake, and fixing game-play issues of the original.

I agree with you, Veronica was meh. I hope for a re5 remake.

Exactly because RECV isn't very good that it needs a remake. Second chance to get good.

Besides, RE5 without RE CV makes no sense. The entire thing in RE5 with Chris vs Wesker rivalry starts in CV. RE5 is a lot more personal if you play CV first.

Who knows. I'd rather another modern RE1 remake above all anyway.

RE5 remake lets goooo! We should have the entire mainline series remade that would be great. RE3 was a dud, sadly, but RE2 and RE4 are greaaat! Imagine getting RE5 and RE6 remade, then you get the entire series in the RE engine...!

Sorry but, RE6 should not even exist for how bad it was as main new installment of the serie. If there is a game that should be un-canonised, that it is.

If they remake Code Veronica X in the RE Engine, they're going to change the story and tie it to Biohazard 2 remake.
