So, are the rumors true? Next remake will be RE Code Veronica?

Just recently I've googled around, and looks like there are about 5 new games in development at Capcom. One oh which, is likely to be RECV, any confirmation yet? I hope so!

The lore is, direct sequel to RE2, story wise. That's why it would benefit a lot with a remake, and fixing game-play issues of the original.

The supposed leak said that it's 5 games in development including Resident Evil 9. Which isn't really a shock since it's guaranteed that we're going to at least get 9, Code Veronica and 5. Then after that they might as well finish it off with 6, 0 and 1 again.

Leak or not it's safe to assume that they're going to remake the entire series in the RE engine. They've all sold well, and the more games they make the faster they can get them out by reusing assets.

I really hope so, I recently retried playing Code:Veronica on Xbox but it hasn't held up well.

Next one will be RE9 I guess and then maybe and hopefully RE:CV remake. We will see.

RE5 is next which was also teased in RE4R, but they should definitely remake Code Veronica after that and also Dino Crisis hopefully!

I have, people said the game was hard but I did find RE0 to be far harder, I even saw someone speedrun the game with just one hand as a challenge (I wouldn't be able to do that, I can beat the game at least).

Honestly RE Veronica is pretty meh and nothing would be really lost if they don't remake it.

The remakes did change a few stuff and they went RE 2 3 & 4 so normaly they would go with 5. In the remakes RE veronica isn't neccesary, they could add the lore in some texts or something at worse.

Yeah RE5 would be a better choice overall, after all it would be the first remake that have co-op mode and maybe they'll make the partner be invulnerable or something to make the game less frustrating solo.

So IMO RE5 would be better than code veronica since code veronica is just a side game (hence why it's not titled with a number), it's like if some people asked for a RE gun survivor remake because it got some lore tied to the story, I do love that game it could have a lot of potential but RE5 remake make more sense and the co-op option would really bring some fresh air for the remake and maybe even hype for a RE6 remake if the co-op is good, they'll have to work hard tho since most people don't really like RE6 (I liked it, it tried to do something different and it got a lot of lore that you have to piece together but the gameplay was a bit on the weak side compared to RE4 & 5, nothing a remake wouldn't be able to improve).

It's funny how all the people saying "I hope not, CV isn't very good."

That's EXACTLY WHY it deserves a remake. All the other games are already good. CV would benefit the most from a remake, considering the storyline is very important and honestly really good in spite of everything else.
