RE4R sells over 7 million units!
Not bad for just under a year. It def was better than the other remakes. Even selling way better than Village.

Hopefully either 5 is next or CV.

Over the next few years, it will most likely be the best selling RE game. Glad, I own two copies on both PC and Mac.

Out of all the games I played last year, this is the one I remember the most. It has such a classic gaming vibe, that simply makes it fun.

It was a very bad remake, just like Re2r and Re3r. I'm not holding my breath for CV or 5 since they will be butchered just the same. Thank god we still have the original games.

Yet you still managed to play this game for over 350 hours. Please stop trolling.

That means that Capcom won't be doing anything original for the foreseeable future; only uninspired re-hashes of its past hits.

After all, why would they, when they haven't any new ideas for years; and to later generations reared on junk food gaming, the RE4's of the past, re-hashed, are like caviar on truffles compared to majority garbage that comprises modern gaming... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think people forget that there are so many gamers than just the original fans.

Capcom isn't sitting around to make GameCube people happy. There is a whole new generation of gamers that don't even care about old console games.

There are kids playing these games for the first time and enjoying them.

Resident Evil is an M rated franchise. I guess if you think 18 year olds are "kids" then sure.
And it's funny how you single out "gamecube people" as if it's some sort of a separate group. Everyone is a gamer here. AAA industry suffers one of the worst periods in recent history with many huge releases failing leading to layoff of thousands of developers. Sweet Baby inc. detected group on Steam just reached 300k people. People are sick of low quality, censorous, safe and sterilized garbage intended for "modern audience" instead of people who love and play videogames.
So yeah, start paying attention to what's going to happen next.

What kept you playing for over 350 hours if you don't like the game?

To be honest, I enjoyed the RE 2 Remake much more. And though it's a different game franchise, I think the Dead Space remake is much more enjoyable as well. But that's just my opinion.

So? I have over 100 hours of RE 4 Remake playtime, at least, yet I don't really have that much fun playing it. Playing through the game feels like a chore to me personally. But I paid 60$ for the game, so I'm going to get my money's worth. Even if I don't particularly enjoy a game, I'm going to do at least a few playthroughs, get as many Steam achievements as I can, unlock as much in-game stuff as I can, etc.

The argument "you claim it sucks, but you played it a lot" is an idiotic argument.
