Game won't launch (no errors, no mods)
Launching from Steam says "running" but nothing appears on screen. In Task Manager, the re4.exe process is present at 0% CPU. Launching from the game folder does the same thing, even in admin mode. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

CPU: Ryzen 7950X3D
GPU: RTX 4090
64GB RAM
Windows 11 Pro 24H2

(forgot to mention that I've already verified the files and there's nothing wrong)

I have the same problem and I opened a ticket.
They answered that it is probably hardware error in my case.
I will investigate this further and I will come back to help you if I find a solution!

I temporarily refunded the game for now because I couldn’t find a solution. I haven’t tried more drastic measures like reinstalling windows though. Hope you have better luck and please share if you find a solution.

are you using somekind of dlc unlocker or something that alters steam? because re4 remake drm denuvo, this things can make the game not launch.

Ryzen 7950x3d
AMD 7900xtx
64GB ram
Win 11 24h2

Same issue. Running but not playing. I have played this before on my AM4 build, and it played fine. That was also on win11 23h2 instead of 24h2

**Edit**
Got it working. Open game folder, find "crash reporter", "crashreport.dll", and "installermessage", delete those files, launch game.

Hello, to solve this just delete the "crash reporter", "crashreport.dll", and "installermessage" folders? I have the same problem, my game doesn't start (my English is bad, sorry)

Those are files within the game install folder. Delete those three files and then launch the game.
