please someone explain me enigma

when i look on internet, review ecc. i all the time read these words: "enigma" drm" or something like this, and "denuvo". i want to know what are EXACTLY this things, and what this things do, because i play the game only a week ago and nothing was wrong, i keep read things like "fps goes down" or something like that but in my experience all was perfect, the only technical problems were literally 3 or 4 objects stuck into another IN THE WHOLE GAME, please explain me what is this, and most importantly WTF THIS DO SO MUCH WRONG TO RUIN THE GAME AND THE FRANCHAISE AND CAPCOM, FOR ME WAS ALL PERFECT

Resident Evil 4 doesn't have Enigma DRM.

They fear that CAPCOM may mess up older titles by implementing Enigma DRM which not only blocks mods but it may also cause serious performance issue if it's not implemented correctly.

enigma doesn't block mods tho. neither re5 or mhr have any mods blocked.

I think people are just overreacting. I’ve asked the same exact question this.

All the fuss around Enigma is your typical fearmongering hate train people jumped on, in order to feel special and against those "evil" corporations.

The rest are simply enjoying their games that are completely playable.
