Is there any way to unlock professional mode WITHOUT finishing the game first?

I have searched for hours for this. I downloaded two different 100% savegames but they did not work. Its such a trashy decision, I actually already finished the game btw. Just not on this account and I am not sure if I can find my old savegame and it will probably not work the same way the 100% savegames I downloaded do not. They may need some editing to match the steam ID or something.

Such a stupid decision to do it this way, at least there should be an offical cheat to unlock it for people who know what they are doing.

You said you already finished the game once. It should not take you too long to beat it again if you set it on easy difficulty. There is litterally a challenge to beat the game in 4 hours and half on easy.

I do not like speedrunning and you for sure not just finsh the game in that time trying to speedrun it the first time. I forgot most of the game. I for sure did take quite a bit longer for seperate ways and that has about half the chapters.

Use a mod get god mode and then run through the game not firing a single shot except for bosses.

I actually thought of that and tried to look for a mod that can teleport to the end of levels or something. Even the idea of running through 16 chapters with godmode sounds annoying. But thanks I guess I will do that if I decide to get into the game again.

I did not any godmode mod on Nexusmods so far, turns out I can not get the mods to work I wanted to try to get this BS done. Most importantly "deadly headshots" that was like a mod that sounds like I can rush the game with.

Ah OK thanks that works. As I am getting annoyed and boringed AF playing to chapter 6, quitting to main menu, suddenly I get the message that professional has been unlocked. No clue how and why, maybe the trainer does it when you enable some think but I only enabled 1 hit kills and godmode and ESP items and some shop item unlock thing maybe not sure. Anyway something triggered that I now can restart on professional and I guess this will stiuck when I disable all mods.

Strangly I am not sure if I even want to anymore, kind of bored and annoyed with the main caimpaign already. I think seperate ways was actually more fun than the main game, I like that its action packed and short, I instantly replayed in on professional and it also seemed easier then the main game.

It's not a stupid decision, it's made that way so casual players don't pick Pro for their first walkthrough and end up dropping the game; it's a fool-proof safe. It's kind of your fault you're playing on a different account...

It is in fact a extremely stupid decision to treat players like complete and total idiots who can not read.

There is a text next to the difficulty settings that says what its for. To force people to play the game on easier is just retarded. Even players who NEVER played this specific game can go straight into the game on professional if they are used to play hard games and are up for the learning curve. What puts people off the game is actually the beginning of the game in where you have to survive for god know how long on till the bell rings and its actually not that much of a difference between difficulties. It's once of the hardest sections of the game that they just let players run into when they start out.

You claim they did out out of some irrational fear that people might drop the game because they start on professional but then they put the beginning scene in the game that has so many people fail so many times, it makes zero sense.

Games like Dark Souls exist that let players bumb their heads against so called "tutorial" bosses right away without any difficulty and force yon on "hard" (I am sure someone will come in here now and brag how "easy" DS is). Pretty much EVERY OTHER GAME that ever existed does not do this retarded crap of locking a difficulty behind a playthrough. And if they to, they do it with like "nightmare" difficulties that are like extremely hard and difficulties that are intended to play with upgrades like for NG+ runs and things like that. Professional is not THAT hard, and you can play it without upgraded weapons. The parry it not hard to pull off, the timing is still very generious ...

Its objectively just stupid. Did they do this with all the RE games?

so i had the same question as OP above because i want my FIRST playthrough of resident evil games to be at max difficulty, it is how i like to play games most of the time regardless of how difficult or long it takes or deaths i incur.

it wasnt very fun wading through the offtopic nonhelpful discussion here so imma just say yall could stand to find better things to do then find threads like this, not help the person while pushing your own personal way of enjoying the game onto the person with some excellent projection, and then got miffed when they didnt appreciate it and told you to ♥♥♥♥ off.
