Dear Capcom, please stop trying to prevent mods from functioning

Mods are literally the only reason I bought this game and RE8. I would not even have considered buying them if it weren't for them, nor will I consider buying your future games if you block modding in them.
Stop whatever you're doing trying to prevent mods from functioning.

Make a backup of your game, easy as tha-, well, till Denuvo breaks your build.



You can, but RE4 still has Denuvo. If you use an older build it'll stop working one day. Be it after the contract has expired or after Denuvo's servers have shut down. This is only an issue for this RE title.

Capcom will most likely remove Denuvo by March.

Doesn't matter if we don't have a build without either DRM schemes. The new DRM will supposedly block mods, the Denuvo build meanwhile will eventually break one day. If they implement the new DRM the same update Denuvo is removed, or even before that, we won't have a DRM-less (well, not counting Steam) build.

They already tried to prevent mods and Cheat Engine in Rockman X Dive Offline. Thankfully the game uses Unity Engine so people knew a lot of ways to mod it anyway.

Can't say the same for other games that use their own engine, like RE engine. IIRC, RE4 Remake already prevent people from using Cheat Engine, unless you use some DLL mod that overturn it.

Shouldn't matter, it's the principle of it. These people rely on the good will of consumers who want to enjoy their products. They provide a luxury. If they want to crap on the people purchasing their stuff and supporting them, they deserve to be pushed back.

Saying please too a corporation won't solve anything, we have too vote with our wallets and stop buying anything from them, it is the only way too hit them where it hurts financially and only then would there be some kind of change.
