hair strands
do you guys think the hair looks better or more realistic with the option turned on or off?
personally i think the hair strands ON make the hair itself look more realistic, but i think with the hair strands OFF the hairs reflection and shading looks more real as well as the hairs physics.

It looks bad. So I disabled it.

I've never bothered to look at how much more realistically it allows Leon's hair to move- the way it affects the lighting of Leon's hair is an instant dealbreaker.

Anyone that says those hair strands look good probably doesn't have hair... it looks ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful. I noticed it immediately when I turned it on and kept it off the entire time... looks so fake and out of place.

It seriously looks like Barbie wig on both of them, not realistic at all. So turned it off. Besides, later in the game both Leon and Ashley get heavy wear and dirt effects on their clothes and skin but their hair looks like they freshly come out of the hairdresser of No Country For Old Men.

I prefer hair strands so much I can't use Ashley mods that don't support it.

I can kinda understand the others saying it looks bad if it‘s on, also being unlit or wrongly lit, regarding it takes so many frames away I really prefer having them on "Mid“. When it is off, it looks always wet and weird equal to a rice straw broom.

Games are wasting their times designing useless features like that. Resources should instead go to more gameplay oriented elements, graphics are severely overrated by the PC gaming community. I'd rather have 10% more enemies/things be allowed to exist on screen than I would have a character's hair look slightly better.

It's certainly the whole gaming community that rates graphics, not just PC. But I agree, instead of spending resources on useless hair strands that don't even get affected by the physics make the AI better instead, or even animate the boss transformations that were there in the original but are missing in the remake.
