Guys, just finished the separate ways in 4 and half hour.
Not bad for a $10 dlc. Ada has different stories and more fantastic boss fights. U3 is back, and it starts to chase down Ada since the beginning of the game. It could create mirage to confuse the players. And laser room is right there with an unknown test subject. The tram is back as well. Now Re4 remake is complete. Regenerator is still scary though the first play through. Save your rifle ammo. I want to try separate ways again tomorrow after the work. Hope to have some infinite ammo weapons.

Not now. But maybe in the future.

That's less than 1 hour per $1. That is objectively bad for a paid DLC in 2023. Typically, you want at least 2 hours per dollar, or at least an absolute minimum of 1 hour per dollar.

Ahh this kinda calculation again, $10 DLC should be 1000 hours worth of content, yeahhh.
Work harder, you might reach our status that we can buy things we like, doesn't matter if it is cheap or expensive. :D

We both know you are wrong, which is why you used a strawman example instead of my own. You had to inflate my own numbers by 10,000% to make it seem ridiculous enough for your fallacy to work.

I also just dropped $60+ on AC6, so $10 isn't a concern in terms of being able to afford it, kiddo, but there is a difference dropping $10 on something that is actually worth it and just flushing that $10 down a toilet.

Sure, I could afford to burn $10 to ash and toss it into the wind, but that doesn't make it any less stupid to do so.

4 and a half hour? that sounds pretty much like the original... what? did you expect more? of course original had the content added after and for new versions but again its the expected time... a bit useless to take the price in to account for an argument, if 4 and a half h is bad for 10€ (in my country) then wait for a sale...

at first I did read it as just half an hour lol...

$60 is more than $10, sport. I wasn't happy that they made it more like Sekiro, but I still got 80 hours out of it, so the cost of entry was worth it. That is not true here.

And if we are talking about stupid crap that we bought this year, I upgraded my GPU in my main Gaming PC, bought a gaming Laptop to test Windows 11, and built a 2nd (albeit it mid to entry level) gaming PC to test out Proton and Linux. So again, this isn't about price; it's about value. Is what I am buying worth the dollars going into it.

For gaming, that value should be, at minimum, "$1 : 1 Hour," literally 1:1.

Keep in mind, I also bought some of the Upgrade Tickets DLC for this game.

Nah, not rich, but not stupid either.

Look at NFTs. People on Steam and elsewhere were trying to talk them up as the next big thing, but most of us, even people who could afford them, knew they were worthless. There are people who spent millions on them, and those NFTs are now worth nothing. Those NFTs are the perfect, modern example of, "Just because you can afford it, that doesn't mean it is worth spending your money on."

I agree with you on this one, but still $10 DLC for RE is nothing short of value, at least for some people like me, but hey it's your money.

You're assuming the dlc has no replay value, which is not the case with most of the Resi games.

The base game already has less replay value than the OG.

The OG has been getting ports for almost 20 years now, and people still talk about it. Like a month after it released, I haven't even seen the remake mentioned outside of its own forums.

So yeah, speaking from a purely academic perspective, it is a subjective statement. However, for all intents and practical purposes, it's really not.
