What counts as a "bonus weapon"?

Is it only what is in the bonus shop?
Do the DLC weapons count?

DLC weapons are fine. Only the 3 bonus shop weapons as far as I remember. The Handcannon, the typewriter, and the primal knife. The infinite rocket launcher does not violate the bonus weapon rules, but it is impossible to get on playthrough 1 unless you modded it in.

The easiest way to check if anything counts is to go into your challenges, check the number underneath the challenge. 0 means you've violated the rules of the run 0 times.

Actually you CAN use the typewriter for s+ runs. It doesn't count against you if you use it. Same, as you said, with the primal knife.

The no bonus weapons on pro is a different challenge from the pro S+ run.

Forgot about that one. My bad. You are correct for that achievement. I was thinking for an S+ run.
