How to kill regenerators without Rifle?

i wonder how you kill them when you dont have any Rifle Ammo left? somehow they seem to be a bit more unfair in the remake? i beat the game 3 times now but every time i encoutner them i have more problems than in OG somehow. thx

Maximum upgraded knife, especially Krauser's knife.

There is only one you have to kill and that one is the easist since you have a good head start to kill the parasites while it's standing up. Seriously don't bother killing the very first two of them. Just run away.

For the two Iron maiden in the garbage sections.. you can outrun and use flashs, granades.. shotgun (to break legs) the first one and just do the door thing with ashley fast.

For the one with the bridge .. yeah well.. good luck. You can find a strat where you can ignore it and just run but I never did it myself. They all have a set maximum of hp. You can just spray them down but that requires a ton of ammo. Knife kill also is possible but the janky movement makes it definitely not as easy than in the OG.

Use the scope to see where the parasites are so you can shoot them with another weapon. You could also use the LE5 since it can use the scope too.

Parry all of their arm attacks to sever it so they'd waste time regrowing new ones. Then just keep circle strafing around them while continuously stabbing until their weak spots pops out from their wounds one by one for you to hit. Fighting like this should only take less than a minute. Also, the Fighting Knife is long enough to hit the weak spots that pops up on the opposite side from where you're currently standing.

You can also mount the vision thing on one of the latter SMG as the SMG bullets are easy to craft.

given you have the ammo, you can do it with handgun

you can also do it with any one of the knives.

it takes more time and is more difficult, but you can still do it without significant issue.

For the first one where I had no IR scope... grenade and then shotgun until its a puddle of perforated fleshy goop, basically.

After that.. rifle and IR for easy kills.

If you pop enough holes into them it exposes their weakspots without a thermal camera.

The Punisher handgun is also very useful as it penetrates.

For the one with the bridge...

After you switch the power look to your left and shoot the enemies till dead there's four of them, the regenerator wont move on the garbage till you get near it then just straight run to ashley.

It's completely possible to beat them with HG only even on pro relatively fast if you know how to deal with them.

You can still hit its weakspots with a penetrating weapon and it will still damage them. It will take a few shot with guns like LE or punisher but its completely possible. One important thing to note if you're killing regenerator with non-penetrating weapon is that some of the plagas are in the front of the regenerator while others are in the back. You won't notice it with penetrating weapons but you will have to shoot them from behind to get to some of the weakspot without it.

They can also die to pure damage if you just shoot them enough. They got a huge HP pool and its more viable if you already destroyed 2 or 3 of the 4 weakspots they have.

Knife also seem to break their weakspots incredibly easily, not the best idea but if you really have to you can blindly stab around it's torso and get a few lucky hits in and kill it.

So at least on pro how it works is. There will be 4 enemies spawn in sets of 2 before you trigger the regenerator spawn, there will always be 1 that will spawn after you trigger the regenerator. the enemy will always run too fast for you to get to the bridge without clearing them out ahead of time on professional.

If you don't mind wasting some time its best to turn the power on, then shoot the 4 enemies that spawn before you trigger the regenerator, the final granado will spawn, kill it over the bars and then loop around the regenerator and run to the bridge. Have some flashbang read in case they somehow end up manage to grab Ashely before they move out of your line of sight.

Alternatively kill the 4 enemies, if you have a explosive mine crossbow then leave one on the floor before it can reach ashely, preferable spread out in a line of 2 or 3. You can just run straight for the bridge while the last enemy is getting tossed around by the landmine if it doesn't outright kill it.

I did a tactic where once the soldiers come down the hallway I killed them with the rifle, so that I could focus on the regenerator...but regardless of if you kill it or run past it, there seems to be a set point to where a ganados gets spawned in next to Ashley to pick her up as you come around the corner.

These are all terrible recommendations. Shoot each limb, the stomach, and the head. Also, don't stand close while he's on the ground. Definitely recommend the shotgun or the butterfly.
