Any word on the next update? Still can't play

Game would crash for me constantly when it first came out, and with the last update it broke completely and I can't even boot it. I went through every hoop with Capcom support to the point that they ran out of suggestions.

Any way to find any info on the next patch? Kinda pissed the game has been out for months and I still can't play it

** Edit: I'm not seeking information to get the game running, I have tried LITERALLY everything there is to do from every single corner of the internet and nothing is working, so unless something new has been found to work in the last three days I've already done it I assure you. I have spent over 18 hours at this point trying to get it running and weeks going back and forth with Capcom doing everything from a total factory fresh reinstall of windows down to disabling the steam overlay. **

You're not telling much. Start with your pc config.

- Verify game cache
- Update your GPU drivers and be sure to click "Clean Install" box when installing then
- Update your CPU chipset drivers
- Update DirectX (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35)
- Check device manager and see do you miss any drivers
- Reinstall the game but before you do, be sure to delete all the files and folders that may have be left behind after uninstalling

And last but not least, what are you PC specs and is your machine capable of running this game?

I've already done it all, I promise.

My PC can definitely handle it, I have a 3080 and a Ryzen 9 5900X

Well, if you have spare time, and not much things on your PC, try reinstalling and doing fresh install of latest version of Windows (install 11 as 10 is going to get discontinued very soon) I know its kinda stupid way to try to fix the problem, but if you havent done it for a while, doing a clean reinstall will anyway freshen up your PC and "fix" any potentional "bugs" and software related issues that may have clogged up over time. Plus, if you have SSD/NVME installation takes like 10 minutes + 30 mins for drivers and updates and if you have fast internet games will download also reallly fast so you can try that. Either way try that and also maybe ReFramework.

If this works I'm gonna owe you big time. Figures Capcom can't fix their own game; I'm reinstalling RE4 now and trying the mod

You sure you're on the latest geforce drivers?
Also, remove your cpu and ram overclocks if you have any and report back if it helped. I've seen a bunch of people who fixed crashing by that

Do you have RT enabled in-game? If yes turn that off and set your textrues to 2gb. GPU is not undervolted? What's your monitor resolution and refresh rate?

Tried 1920x1080 in the config file and it still crashes

Yeah I'm out of ideas. Only thing left is a complete windows reinstall. A few people in troubleshooting thread seem to have fixed their crashes that way.
