Resident Evil fanboys and their constant whining for remakes... Who would have thought that one of my most favorite series since PS1 would have one of the most annoying fanboys decades later. Take off your nostalgia googles and tell CAPCOM to make some new games with new stories.

You even ask for another remake of RE1. Like seriously, get help.

Not sure which one is more bankrupt these days. The creativity of this industry or consumer's taste in games.

RE4 didn't tone down things to apprease the modern audience. Those lines were removed because they had no place in the game in the first place.

Now, regarding the "cross-dressing freak" line, Alfred IS a cross dressing freak, no matter how you twist it. And it has nothing to do with homosexuality/wokeness or whatever "modern audience" Boogeyman we are supposed to be afraid of.

You're wrong as usual, there is a controversy. The original game is about an American trying to prove he is a bad enough dude to rescue the president's daughter and does it by murdering rural Spaniards who are just pissed off that an armed foreigner burst in to their neighbor's house and shot the homeowner. He then goes on to fight an angry midget whose right hand comes off, an old comrade, and a cult leader. The game is full on cheese and male power fantasy which is what gamers want. So yes crude lines and humor are appropriate because it was funny and Capcom wanted players to actually have fun. Besides if it wasn't trying to appease the sensibilities of twitter and the modern audience why did the feel the need to change Ashley's skirt in to shorts and give her leggings?

The remake also has an American baddy trying to rescue the president's daughter by murdering Spaniards who are defending their territory and the angry midget and the cheese and all.

Except the skirt. A skirt that is of no importance. But you have to force a controversy out of nowhere.

Has already been officially stated that 5 is never getting a remake.
They might be completely done with the re-makes now, the only one that is on the table in any way is CV:X.
But they said before RE3: Remake came out that they would only consider CV:X if there was a lot of outcry for them to do so, otherwise 4 would be the last remake they do in the series and they would focus their remakes in other, older series. Like Dino Crisis.

Well, here we are. Let's be heard.

For those who don't know it, RECV is considered also the direct sequel to RE2 lore wise. So, there is a missing piece in the Umbrella story arc for new players, and all those who had not played the OG title back in the days.

Some argue that CVX is not canon, which I find it only a cheap excuse for the purpose of this topic. In CVX we get to see the Ashford family and their involvement with Umbrella, as well Wesker returning as villain. Plus, we have again the splitted story and play-trough just like in RE2, this time between Redfield brothers, Claire and Chris.
I think there is enough meat to warrant a remake.

Besides, RECV-X is more deserving a remake than the half baked RE3 (nemesis), and the fans of the original RE formula gonna love it.

God, there is or was, even a fan made remake of RECVX roaming on YT.

You are wrong. I don't really care that much about all the stuff but you will never see "Female " or "Male" ever again when selecting body types.

Also Forspoken exists. A game where SE thought it's perfect for the west because it has a quirky, modern, fk fk fk fk yelling women as protag. Only to find out that the people they tried to appeal to don't play video games.

Not that many examples yet from Japan. Mostly because Japan is often a couple years slower with accepting current western world trends.

Once we play a fat blackwashed trish in dmc 6 or 7 .. we can finally just end the world because it's over tho.

Meh CVX was pretty mediocre anyway. Maybe a remake will improve maybe it won't. Not awfully excited for the idea.
