yeah i used all my mines and shotgun ammo on the minotaur in the farm area and then the dog boss fight request back in the village square
so im just wondering if i should just reset my run because i legit only have like 4 shotgun rounds, a punisher, two grenades, and enough resources to craft a flashbang or two
It's doable if you save your nades only when cornered by minotaur and mobs. I'd clear and stay on the first floor near the fireplace as well. You can stealth kill some of the ganados that drop down. Other than that, you either gotta be really good with that pistol or yeah reload a save.
I used the sticky mine and pistol/shotgun. The staircase can make the enemies fall backwards for free knife stabs.
You can run a route up the stair case and down the ladder to kite the heavy guy.
I was trying to do it without boarding up windows, now that was too hard for me.
Otherwise with your condition, I suggest you reset the run if you only kept it in single save file and overwriting it.
Some fights that can easily done with knife and little weapon shooting.
1) El Gigante
One of the bullet sponge before mansion fight (or villa/cabin fight). Run to its back, knife stab its butt all days until plaga expose. Then use your gun to shoot the plaga. Repeat until dog shows up. You know the rest.
2) Large campfire area
You can stealth kill everything there excluding one ganado watching the path lead to farm area.
3) A savage mutt side quest
You need knife with at least three upgrade pump into it with any combination of attack power or durability. Once you stealth kill everything at large campfire area, go to chief manor to trigger this tough enemy. When you see it in large campfire area, run up and start knife stab it. Knife attack will reset the savage mutt attack animation and you should keep on doing it until it fall down for knife instant finisher.
4) Farm area
You can stealth kill everything except barehand brute.
First, stealth kill the first torchlight ganado.
After that, watch carefully right side at a ganado that has short patrol AI route. As it turn around, run toward it as fast as possible to stealth kill him.
Go into the large barn house where you acquire the previous key item, stealth kill the ganado there, barehand brute should spot you right away.
Don't open fire, retreat and run as fast as you can toward the gate leading back to large campfire area. Brute should reset it position already and watching the path lead to Luis villa.
Goes up large barn house and stealth kill the shovel ganado at windmill. Then goes down through large barn house and stealth kill the remaining two ganado.
With the brute left, here's the tricky part. Elite enemies in this game have expert hearing compare to regular ganado. They can hear something very far including running footstep.
Climb up in large barn house and use the upper floor path lead to windmill upper floor. Walk slowly or crouch until you see the ladder leading down. Run back the way you came from to create noise. Brute will follow rhe nearest pathing and check out the noise. Immediately stop running and change to crouch when outside of windmill. Goes into large barn house, climb down the ladder, enter windmill from ground floor, climb up the windmill ladder, do not ever run the whole process. You should now see the brute with his back facing you magically. Stealth kill him and claim his Emerald.
