We're talking about the realistic depiction of a human being. Stop playing dumb.
For me, nice to look at and something I'll replaying the game to unlock.
With the current RE4R, all unlockable outfits besides Leon's mafia outfit looks plain and/or unappealing to me and I have no momentum to unlock them.
Exactly. Realism was used selectively in new Jill's design but not in Aloy's design. This is why the latter has peach fuzz.
Lol go outside, guy.
If you want sloot stuff, just mod the game. We're on PC after all (:
You might not feel the pride and accomplishment of needing to unlock them but you can at least use them while doing the other challenges and stuff (:
Chris and Wesker are already modeled. Enemy behavior can be iterated on RE4R. With all the work done on RE4R, they've now figured out transformations in RE engine.
Capcom's been iterating on RE games ever since RE7. They're really the only company in the entire industry to build something and make quality sequels look so effortless.
It's because they do a lot of hard work, but also reuse that work appropriately.
If RE5 ends up being the next game, you can be pretty sure it's going to use the RE2,3,4 control scheme.
Look at RE4 Pig Man. Change the hitbox and HP and he's basically Executioner. Add the plagas on his back which is already programmed into El Gigante and change his model and he's done.
Most RE5 enemy behaviors are already part of RE4 so they're already finished.
Things like that are no mistake. Mr X, Nemesis, and Lady D are all very similar.
I think RE5 is coming next. If they do another remake afterwards, it might be Code Veronica or Outbreak, depending on what they feel like doing, but 5 is probably coming after 9. And I wouldn't be surprised if 9 has some elements of 5 in it as a test run. It makes the most sense from both a development standpoint and financially, and had the highest sales of the series.
TBH the only hurdle they have is censorship due to the hostile morality and equity police and ESG.
Absolutely agree
I got that you were implying that the peach fuzz was what was making her unappealing. Not her general design. I really don't think they were aiming to make her hot but I also don't think that the addition of peach fuzz on new Jill's model would render the latter unappealing. Therefore I think it's possible to have a hot CGI character with realistic attributes such as peach fuzz, if that's what you're trying to get at.
I personally hope they would give us REmake 1 and REmake CV before doing REmake 5.
Would let them set up REE (RE Engine) Chris prior to him showing up in REmake 5.
Also give us a Claire sequel to REmake 2. Just as Leon got his sequel with REmake 4.
Considering they like to release a new RE game on an almost yearly basis:
2017: RE7
-----
2019: REmake 2
2020: REmake 3
2021: RE8
-----
2023: REmake 4
Wouldn't be too shocking they'd release a smaller scale RE game between REmake 4 and either REmake 5 or RE9. So REmake 1 would be a nice candidate IMO. (Would also be a good way to set up young Chris, Jill and Wesker as a contrast to their REmake 5 versions.)
Rock punch time inside an active bloody volcano !
But on serious note, if they are going to remake RE5 they have to do a massive rework on the game.
Firstly get rid of the co-op, because that stuff is bad for survival horror.
Secondly put more emphasis on the survival horror. Less action, more horror.
Thirdly, no more punching rocks inside an active volcano, because that stuff is just... stupid.

They're fun games that you can play with a friend. I love the survival horror aspect of the horror focused games of the series as much as the next guy, but the action ones are straight up FUN.
Notice how Capcom keeps tweaking the levels of action vs horror in each entry? They're not stupid, they're very much aware of that, and they LIKE switching up the formula to keep everything fresh.
I don't think an RE5 remake would lose the co-op, and I think they'll keep Sheva even on solo runs too. I imagine they'll be tweaking her AI to survive and dodge more too.
As for any other changes, I have faith they'll do it justice, whether they keep the cheesy stuff or not.
