Excellent point that people just usually omit. Ganados are WAY more dangerous and the lack of headshot consistency along with Leon not having iframes except for a very small selection of animations (kick for example) makes a lot of the game seem unfair. Hardcore and Professional mode are clearly unbalanced, and having these consistency issues along with how the game restricts you in professional (no checkpoints + perfect parry only) makes it challenging in an unfair and very unfun way. The remake was never designed to be played like this and I doubt they playtested these difficulties enough, while the original's Professional was pretty fair and fun to play.
Tell me, do you think it's fun or fair to be true comboed by ganados while trying to jump a window or jumping down a ladder or any of these actions? You can be damage while on RECOVERY animations, how tf is that supposed to be fair?
I know it defeat the purpose of playing games but whatever. Bragging on forum is much more important for minority of people anyway.
