Herb mixtures permanantly increase health???
Why doesn't it properly say that in the description ffs? I'm just learning about it now on google. So lazy in descriptions lol, i was saving it for when i really need it. It only says increases health but not perm.

Only the yellow ones permanently increase your health

It also doesn't say it's temporary. Since it doesn't, I would assume it's permanent. There are loads of yellow herbs plus previous saves make experimenting painless.

Green (G) ones heal you for a small / decent amount. you can add green herbs into a single vial up to 3, but do note that you can't add any R or Y this way. they only allow for 1 green max IIRC.

Red (R) ones can't be eaten individually, you have to combine it with a G or G+Y, which in turn heals to your max HP (same as a first aid spray)

Yellow (Y) ones also can't be eaten individually, you have to combine it with a a G or G+R, this one increases you max hp bar, (max allowed HP is about 3/4th of the circle)

I'd usually never make a G+Y+R, unless i'm lacking inventory space. at the start i'm more inclined to just suck on G+Y's whenever i'm low, just to increase max hp and save / mix red herbs later.

It literally does say so in yellow herb description.

You get a use prompt on R+Y combos now. I didn't try it to see if it will let you ( seriously why the ♥♥♥♥ would you ) but it appears we might now be able to use them that way.

There seems to be bonus hp increase if you pick better combo than G+Y, so I think R+Y exist to give you highest bonus but can't restore hp (need test) G+R+Y does increase significant more max hp than G+Y

Where's the issue exactly ? You should be saving it for when you need them either way

G+R+Y is basically the same as a G+R, except it also heals you to full. My problem is you usually want to be keeping the G+R mixture for when you are on death's door. (when an attack brings you to 0 HP but you still live, but the next attack kills you) Which makes you hold out on using those, Making you postpone out on the Y herb HP increase value which you'd get by simply sucking G+Y (greens are quite common)

I would only consider prioritizing G+R+Y IF it makes you gain MORE permanent HP than G+Y.

That's interesting

I'll give it a go on my next run.

I've only been using them in G + R + Y combos and I maxed health well before the end of the game. They give you more than enough this time compared to the original where you had to wait until a second run to max both Leon and Ashley.
