New Game Plus and S rank

How does this work? A new fresh save file with nothing on? or Using your NG+ Save? and what is considered bonus weapons ?

Bonus weapons don't lock you out of S rank, they lock you out of S+ rank which is required to unlock the Handcannon and I think the cat ears as well. To unlock the Handcannon you need to start a new save, complete it in five and a half hours, and make no more than 15 saves to achieve S+.

Pretty sure they are the bonus shop weapons you unlock with points. I doubt DLC weapons will count against you as a bonus weapon. Still this is just speculation.

So, for S-S+ ranks, you need to be playing on a Fresh save. Basically, just don't load your completed playthrough and instead create a new save on whatever difficulty it is you want to attempt it on, with Pro requiring that you beat it within 5 hours and 30 minutes with no more than 15 saves in total.

Bonus weapons like the Chicago Sweeper, Primal Knife, and Hand Cannon are all usable should you have them, as are accessories with perks like the Chicken Hat, Wolf Tail, etc, and using the Sweeper and Primal Knife in particular is probably one of the easiest set ups weapon wise to pursue S+ with, since both can be upgraded to have infinite ammo/durability, and allow you to focus on just two weapons. Hand Cannon can also work, but less reliable as a single weapon as its a magnum, at least until you've unlocked its infinite ammo upgrade.

Not sure about the knife but if the rest work I don’t see why that one shouldn’t

To clarify, the cat ears need S+ (which means new save 5.5 hours), but you can use bonus weapons.

The Handcannon Typewriter needs A rank, which means 7 hours, no other strings attached (use NG+ infinite launcher or whatever you kept).

Typewriter Handcannon needs to be done on Pro mode, any rank, but new save and no bonus wpns.

Extra tip: The Handcannon run will be easier with Ashley's armored outfit, which makes her an invincible distraction, and that requires an S rank (which means NG+ is OK) on Hardcore or higher. So you can get the Typewriter and that at the same time, using the infinite launcher if you want, then go for the cat ears, then u can get handcannon easy with infinite magnum ammo AND the ashley armor.

Yeah it’s the Chicago that’s a rank and I’m not sure my current play through is pro vanilla, I want to unlock both weapons at once
