Intense frame drops in chapter 5?

Has anyone else had any issues in the intro village section of chapter 5 with the heavy rain? I have a decent PC and the game runs fine from 90 - 120 fps everywhere else with rtx, but I drop down to 50 only in this particular area. It crashes with rtx, but turning it off doesn't help the frames that much, just prevents the crashes.

Just wondering if it ain't just me.

IT happened to me too. I went from having 60+ fps to it being in the low to mid 50's. I believe it's the rain that is causing fps drops there but I am no developer so it's a guess. Hopefully it gets some love in a future patch.

Oh, sorry to hear that. Yeah, I even tried turning rain to low and it still suffered frame drops. Ah well, it's just one small section I guess.

Its just that segment, it tanks the best of pc specs. They need to patch it.

yes it happened thank god its the only part where its an issue though.

Still it really needed some optimization!

Yes same I went from having 120 fps of really high settings (rt off I hate rt) but in this one section all the way down to 46. I really don't know why. Also there is also a huge frame drop whenever I look in the direction of the merchants purple fire. Anyone else face this issue?

You guys should post about these issues in the " Troubleshooting & Issue Reporting Thread" that´s pinned in the first page. otherwise they´ll never fix it.

Boy I sure do love Denuvo, especially when it will render all my games unusable if the servers ever shut down!

Damn, some people are so touchy about denuvo, as if it was somehow responsible for framerate drops in 1 chapter of the whole game, when everything else (and any other RE game with denuvo) works perfectly.

My bet is on those wind and rain effects taking a toll on hardware.
