Does the timer still count when paused?

I was just wondering if the in game timer still counts when on the pause screen or the chapter end screen. just wondering when i can take breaks.

Pause screen stops the timer, not sure about the results screen.

Only pause screen (esc button on PC or start button on PS/ XBOX controller) and typewriter menu does not contribute to game timer. Using attache case and shop still count towards the timer.
