People bashing on Ashley is way more simpler than some disapproval of a trope. Old Ashley Was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying and normal people with normal lives weren't swayed with by some pixel panties of a pixel girl that looks and acts younger than claimed.
The most exaggerated of these arguments from people is obviously the "she's actually a 1000 year old dragon who just looks and acts like a human toddler." But that is basically what your're saying here. That if the bio says she's 1000 years old she's 1000 years old and that's the only thing that matters. I shouldn't care if she's acting and looking like a child because it's no longer a problem and nobody is lolicon for wanting to sexualize that character.
I don't hate the damsel in distress trope either. Problem was she was especially useless/helpless in the original so it only further highlighted her immaturity. I can't understand how people can be attracted to such immaturity I guess. Especially when everything else about her is coded to be childish or young teenish technically. Furthers my epheophile point really.
Yah that part made me fall in love with the new Ashley. Now we have mods off the old model, so we can have the best of both worlds!
New version was designed with the right age in mind from the start. Also she does loose that ugly suit jacket later in the game and you can unlock removing it completely .
As for her shorts Skirt thing she wears now as apposed to her more traditional miniskirt in the original. the only external difference is now you cant get an eyeful of her crotch. which i think is a welcome improvement. if you want a sleezey game go buy one. not every game has to be s3xual.
Most people are on their early runs, killing everything on their way,and Ashley seems to have been upgraded as a follower... But nah, when you start skipping enemies, she panics and can easily wait for 30 seconds to get captured, instead of simply walking forward a bit... Annoying as hell.
