Bear trap (no damage)
Currently, I don't understand how it's possible to walk on a bear trap and not take damage when there are bombs to defuse that can do you damage.

I don't know if it's a problem of lack of time but if we can defuse a bomb, we should be able to defuse a simple trap and at the same time take damage. Even the wolf is wounded (blood) and limps while fleeing

So every time i stepped on a bear trap i did lose health. Just that my HUD never showed up to let me know.

Personally, I look at my life every time and nothing, I don't lose any life in hardcore mode.

My character still starts limping for a moment and then, everything is fine, i can run

you can lose health from it but it cant kill you I believe. its more of set up to get you hit rather a killing trap like the tripmines.

I thought that was strange too.

i thought of this being the case because Leon has bracers on his boots underneath his jeans.

that probably helps him kick harder too, and why he was so confident to kick a guy in the face that was holding his axe up instead of just drawing his gun and shooting.

he feels the pressure of the trap, and it probably hurts a bit, but no actual damage besides light bruising.

By being with my complete life, it remains complete. And yes, I'm not saying it should one shot you but with such a trap, the damage should be heavy and not non-existent.

I think bear traps should not only be a one hit kill, they should actually delete your save file

I step into a bear trap every day I wake up.

My problem with the traps is the enemy can walk over them and seldom trigger them. The game suggests we can lead the enemy into the traps but, it's not working particularly well.

It's an interesting theory but he would need a big armor to take all damage.

The trap activates at the lower level of his kneecap and we don't see any blood so, the theory is good

You have to stand near the trap, dodge the axes and they end up coming straight at it. Sometimes it's necessary to step back a little

it does nothing to health but leaves you vulnerable for attack
It is a little weird that it doesn't hurt you. Bear traps are designed to tear into the skin where they clamp down as they have "teeth" on them.

The trap doesn't deal damage, yet being restrained by an enemy does. xD
