catapult section is aids

I cant even see them coming, I turn a corner and boom right in the face, i open a door, boom right in the face, Ashley takes one to the face and gets downed, i go to help, boom right in the face. I get hit behind walls where they don't even have sight of me. The RNG in this game is fking infuriating

I've done this section a lot now (trying to optimise time on professional) and in every single run I've managed to run to the cannon just fine without getting hit if I just don't stop once I start running, after you get up on the other side you can immediately eliminate 3 of the 4 catapults using the red barrels, tell Ashley to hang back so she doesn't risk getting hit and you only need to run to the cannon to remove the last one and then break open the gate, the only risk here is the final one hitting you while aiming the cannon but if you bait the catapult first you can shoot it just fine. Have to be careful of the cultist sneaking up on you to grab Ashley during this however, but that is not that hard to deal with either.

First time doing it was painful, but after that it's very easy if a bit stressful, but they aren't that hard to avoid.

You can destroy the catapults by shooting at the red barrels

I don't understand why people find that section so difficult? It's not, just use cover and shoot the barrels.

The Catapults have a very linear line of attack, will only shoot in certain spots and at certain intervals, learn them and you can just run past some of the fire entirely.
