It's a troll post but many Japanese companies already stated in the past that the westernization is part of the marketing to broaden the appeal of the respective games. Western people tend to prefer Western aesthetics, who would have thought, so many studios then do exactly that to sell more units. Hence why Jrpg, who only became famous here through Final Fantasy 6 and 7 during the late 90s, look like anime 99% of the time, while we have only a few jrpg that look more western but keep the jrpg mechanics

Capcom is a Japanese Company, but Both the Resident Evil and Dead Rising zombie franchises are influenced by older American movies. Probably the most obvious example is the similarity between the original Dead Rising and Dawn of the Dead.
In most older American movies the protagonists are Americans of European descent, so the same is true for these games.
