FPS Keeps Dropping Like Dead Ganado
So the game is running smooth with Mid High Settings on 1440p averaging 90-100FPS FSR Quality
But then the performance drop a lot, like stuck around 20-25 FPS,First time we go to the Village when they burned the cop, and then after rescuing Ashley from Church, i think because of the rain and fire but lowering every settings to the lowest + FSR Performance doesn't even improve the performance still 20-25FPS. I do think it's not my hardware, but the game itself. since i can run the game fine for so long, even averaging 90+ FPS.

Anyone know any fix?

Specs:
i5-13500 Turbo On
AMD RX 6650 XT
16GB RAM
Game on SSD

I want to add that the Big Dude fight on Quarry is already raining and I still got a good performance.

Well at least i know i am not alone.
The game performance is really weird to consider that the PC Specs is the problem tbh.
if it's consistent, then yes it's my PC. but no, i can play the game fine with high FPS for long. until the drop happens, sometimes even randomly not just when the Village Raining

ehm 1440p and 8gb vram is kinda hard, at 4k max settings + RT this game takes 17gb dedicated vram on my 3090 ti

I think, it doesn't matter? I play the game fine as stated on the thread, with Mid-High(Mostly High) Settings for like 5 Hours of gameplay, then Rescued Ashley, Village is Raining, FPS is Dropping from 90s to 20s.

Setting the game back to Low(Which reduce the VRAM Load by much) doesn't really fix the sudden and presistent FPS Drop, still 20FPS, which shouldn't happen. if the Hardware is the problem, changing the game settings should at least throw in extra 20FPS. but the FPS Drop stays.

EDIT: And Raining on Quarry fighting the Big Guy still 90FPS avg.

I'm playing this in 4K with a 3080 Ti. The fps drops during some sections like with the heavy rain (but not always), but for most part the game just stays at a steady 60 fps. I'm playing with everything maxed out except VRAM for textures or whatnot. I put that on 2 GB... could probably manage 3 or 4, but honestly I don't see any difference. Heck, I didn't even see any difference in REmake 2 and 3 either.

Anyhow, I can deal with some fps drops during small parts of the game.

Having the same problem here, the worse part is that this frame drop happens much more often and it is 100% random, like I'm stopped in a spot with like 100fps and without even moving the game suddenly drops to 20-30 fps. Unfortunately I have no ideia how to fix this and don't know what's causing it. Maybe the game has bad opmization or it is something to do with to do with drivers or could be denuvo's fault, either way it is sad, cause the game seems to be amazing but it is pretty damn bad don't get stable 60fps. Hope they fix it, but I won't get my hopes up cause it is capcom...

I'll check my run this evening to see if it has the same issues as you. Considering I have a 7900XTX, if it's going to run with such crazy FPS drops it will be most definetely the game.

I have the same issue, except fps only drops when looking through rifle scope but still in the village square at night

So how is your performance so far?

my performance tank randomnly multiple times now, like when the black fountain fight inside the castle it got stutter randomly. But still running 90FPS when it's "normal" on high settings.

The village after Ashley has rain and its an FPS killer. It will clear up around the time you get to Luis.

Damn, sorry, forgot to update. Anyway, the game ran smoothly without any kind of issue for me.

Just played the game the other day, and it ran fine after the Separate Ways and Mercenaries update. so i guess they fixed it.

Other thing that I did was changing the system page file from HDD to SSD, so remove any page file on your HDD and just change it to SSD.

It still dips but it is better than it was. My 4070 still feels it but I have stuff maxxed out so thats probably the cause.
