Do you have to use the golden Egg?
The chickens in the room never seem to drop an egg for me.

No, you sure you just didn't miss them? They dropped two in the brief amount of time I was there.

Eggs can eventually drop, a brown one did for me after like 5 mins.

thanks for the replays, I was killing them that why i did not get any . while making this post, i watch one chicken lay an egg. lol

Use any egg. Just wait for hen to lay one.
