Is there any way of deleting a saved slot?

First, ensure that the cloud save synchronization is disabled (by either going into Steam settings, then navigating to "Cloud" and disabling the first option or by right-clicking RE4, going into properties and disabling the option under General in there).

Then, go into the folder where Steam is located (C:/Programs (x86)/Steam by default) then into userdata/[your userdata] (you know if it's the right one if you then see a bunch of numbered folders)/2050650/remote/win64_save. This is where the game's save slots are located. Delete the dataXXXSlot.bin file (the numbers indicate which save slot in-game they are in) that you want and you're done.

If you want to enable cloud save sync afterwards though, then things might get complicated.
Not sure if there is any easier way, but the way I figured out to do it is to...
1. Open the game
2. Make another save in the slot you deleted
3. Close the game
4. Re-enable cloud save sync
5. Wait for your games to check their sync status (RE4 will then say it has a file conflict)
6. Click on that to open the cloud conflict notification
7. Delete the dataXXXSlot.bin file from the slot you saved in
8. Select to override the cloud save with your local save

I do not see these folders or files.

You know what, I am going to just saved a new chapter save for each slot in numerical order. I was sleep deprived playing the game today and hit space negligently while my mouse cursor highlighted a random slot and the sloppy slot save is simply triggering my OCD when I prefer to be neat. So the best option for me is to save new saves for chapter replays since I can't delete the file when it is not shown in my game folder.

I'm giving you a reward for this! Your instructions were perfect. Thank you so much for the clear instructions. This worked like a charm. My OCD is fixed lol thanks again.

Will Capcom just give us an option to delete the slot already?

You will keep your slots and you will like it!

Doesn't saving over a previous save technically do the same thing as deleting a slot anyway?
