Best way to kill Plaga B?

1-2 (depending on your difficulty) shots from the second shotgun paired with a few pistol bullets, but you need to be fast, or if there are more than 2-3 around chasing you (like in the -1 floor of the water room or the armaduras fight) then you toss a flash grenade, it's a well wasted one while it saves you some ammo. Hope this helps!

Yes, flash grenades are great for groups of those and also with plagas spider. It's a good idea to learn the recipie so you can always have one.

Nah, plaga c are so weak (if they're on themselves, if they're mounted on a zealot or a soldier then I suggest shotgun them down and then finish them off with the pistol), a couple of pistol shots and they're out, it's a shame using a flashbang on them :(

When there's only 1 or 2 yes, but once when I went back to the throne room there was 5 or 6 mounted swarming me. One flash killed them all.

those bastards are odd to kill sometimes. Flash grenades are always your best choice.
but they seem to be bullet proof on their skin. Shooting them in the open mouth seems to do critical damage.

What I wonder though is if these plaga Bs (or plaga Mandibula as they are apparently now called according to the model viewer) are still toting an insta-kill attack if they get close to you.

They can only instant kill you if they're latched on to the ceiling.

I noticed that too once but idk if it's legit one hit kill for us, kinda risky doing it all the time because we can be insta killed too

Nope, they insta kill you whenever you are close (like in the original), they just eat up in one bite Leon's head from the neck and up, only if you're afar they do damage with a black spit like attack

Is there an ideal spot to shoot them with the Pistol? Do you go for the mouth, or try to get hits on it at the base where it's protruding from the neck? Mouth seems like it takes waaay more shots then it should to kill it.

I generally find them better to kill with the Shotgun, but this is mostly if I get into a situation where I have no flash grenades or shotgun shells.

Every time I saw one I just waited for the mouth to open then used the stingray. Or flash grenades if there's too many enemies.
