Thoughts On Luis' Ending
Hi all! So this game has a VERY radically different end to Luis as I'm sure you all know. Running into him twice (or rather, he helps you twice) which is pretty cool, helping through the hardest sections of the (later) Castle. I saw the end of him a little bit ago and it honestly made me tear up watching it, I was wondering if anyone else thought it was well done.

my only disappointment is that he never got to say the ballistics thing
I initially didn't like Luis' new design at all. He looked like he sells low grade alcohol to high school kids lmao. But I really warmed up to him, his voice acting is probably right behind Ashley's as the best; his design fits his personality great and he's kept that charming yet mysterious personality.

I really think we coulda gotten a tad bit more mileage outta him but it's fine. His death was really spoiled by the trailer, where you could clearly see a knife in the back of his jacket with Krauser landing on the ground shortly after if you paid attention.

I loved him, I feel like Luis and Ashley definitely got the two best character makeovers. His ending was very sad, but I really liked how Leon lit up that cigarette for him, and placed the lighter in his hand in his final moments.

That seems to be everyone's gripes with this game, the misogyny is lacking. Just odd is all.

That's the exact moment I wanted to see if anyone enjoyed, I just didn't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it. I myself didn't watch the trailers, so I was blown away by the inclusion of Krauser killing him instead of Saddler (who's oddly absent himself and missing his personality). Side note, I just got through the Regeneradors and... oh god... their design is absolutely awful comparing them to the original, but the jiggle physics, the way they charge you, and they grow everything back within moments... panic is all I can say. Now time to hug my teddy bear (boyfriend). 😅

It's just steam forums. Always like that in these parts until the mods shoo the trolls back to the bridge.

The death scene is way better. In the original it just kinda happens randomly for no reason. Krauser being the one to do it makes way more sense.

I like that he lasted longer than the original aswell. Seems like less of a throw-away. As for the ballistics comment, obviously you can't do dialog like that anymore, even if the character is supposed to be like that. I wish they found a way to put it in, maybe under a different context. Like maybe he's admiring the ballistics of a gun instead.

Oh trust me, I know. I made a few mods for another game, Teardown that I get literal death threats over. Valve ain't doing anything though, naturally.

His scene also makes Ada's ending more powerful. Showing she changed too.

Or perhaps Leon could have Ashley carrying a gun into the cabin and he makes the comment which would still be relevant, just in a less grubby context. :)
