Can you use Chicago Sweeper in S+ Runs?

I know that you can't use bonus weapons - like the infinite rocket launcher - in a play-through if you want to accomplish a S+ run.

However, I have read that you can still use the Chicago Sweeper (and upgrade it for infinite ammo) and still be able to accomplish S+ on a run.

Can anyone confirm?

What about the handcannon

The only things that affect getting an S+ are time, number of saves and if you're on NG or NG+.

NG+ is locked out of S+.
