same applies to this, runs flawlessly
They might optimize the VRAM usage more like Hogwarts did, but I wouldn't bet on it. It's not a bug or a leak, it's just demanding.
I would say that, but there are 4090 and 3090 owners having the same problem.
You're right... but I'm one of them having the same problem... :(
Of course I know there are many players playing the game without problems, but you know how this works... not all players have your luck.
I'd be hesitant to take random reports online by people who say they have 4090s at face value. Also a 4090 could have a separate issue that presents similarly. Memory leaks happen universally, and I and many others do not have one, so...
The game eats VRAM, especially with RT on. Every tech site and benchmark channel out there is talking about it. For the vast majority of people turning down your VRAM usage to the grey color will fix any issues. There will always be some with other problems though, that's PC gaming for ya.
I have a 4080 with 16VRAM, keeping the Vram indicator white, with 13GB Vram (allocated and 9-10 (real usage), but it keeps crashing.
How low do you have to make it to stop the crashing?
Not a leak but I could see perhaps a "bug" where it uses more than what it shown in the menu. I assume it keeps the grey amount so much lower than your max on purpose because it expects to spike here and there.
Regarding the RE Village comparison, wasn't that an issue related to the Denuvo implementation that made the game stutter a lot while the pirated version was way smoother?
Hopefully in Re4R they could fix this sooner, because this issue is really running the experience for so many people. We are seeing more and more posts about the constant crashings and huge performance drops, no matter the settings or hardware configuration.
