Ashley's Part can't escape bug?
So far on two attempts I have discovered what seems to be a way to get permanently trapped, and be forced to restart.

If you open the clock wall to the crypt and get the Salazar Insignia before going up the elevator where you are supposed to place the Insignia, the elevator does not work and there is no way to escape. Am I forgetting something from my first play through or is this a bug or possibly a "feature"?

Did you get the keys for the elevator? Is it still obtainable after you open the clock wall first?

The solution for the Grandfather Clocks puzzle varies depending on the difficulty level you’re playing.

Assisted and Standard Difficulty: The correct time remains consistent in the 24-hour clock system. The solution is 11:04, which means setting the small hand to 11 (XI) and the big hand to 4.
Hardcore Difficulty: The correct time is presented in Roman numerals, with a different solution. For example, during my playthrough, the solution was VII-XII, which means setting the small hand to 7 (VII) and the big hand to 12 (XII).

How did you know what time to put on the clock before going upstairs?

i ended guessing the clock on my first hardcore run, after u get the little thingy at the bottom and come back up and enter the library for the first time there is a door on the right side and you dont need the elevator

In the library there is a note, before leaving there you have to take it, there are also some keys that allow you to open some chests and locks (the one in the elevator for example) if you are already up (where you talk to Leon again and you have to put a rectangular stone on the wall to open the door) there is a note on the back, you go and you will see that Ashley reacts to the written time, for that you first have to interact with one of the clocks :D

Yea I think they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the clock puzzle. I 100% thought the 'chosen time' was the time that was on the small clock to the left of the door. Eventually I gave up as it didnt work, set the time to 12:00 and just one by one click the hand over and tried it. Took 15 minutes.

Me too, was stuck because of this. I hope the developer could fix this bug.

I've attempted 2 different reloads of my save at this point to try and fix this bug. I went and got the Salazar crest first, and it bugged. I went and got the keys first and it bugged, however I used the keys on the elevator before going to get the crest. I wonder if that caused the problem??

SOLVED: Start off with Ashley not solving the clock puzzle, instead go right into the Library and get the keys. Use the keys on the elevator and hit the button. It just worked for me after not working on previous saves, where I would go get the Salazar Family Crest first before trying to get in the elevator.

It has to be. You have the required items to progress but the game does not let you - that's a bug fam. I just fixed it by not intentionally doing the clock puzzle first.

Can u literally stop replying ? Literally no one is asking how to solve the clock puzzle at first , and you have to go out your way to say “iS nOt a BUg” when most of us here are encountering it , if it’s a feature the game would’ve at least let us know we can’t press the elevator yet, can you understand what’s everyone asking before answering next time sweetie ?
