SPOIRLER WARNING: Need help with chapter 13

Tried to find it in the guides section. This may be chapter 14 I'm not sure anymore. Anyway, those big white blubbery enemies. There are 5 total I think. And one we have to kill to get the wrench from. I basically killed them all. Didn't know what I was doing.

My question is, is there a trick to killing them easily? I basically had 0 ammo after killing all 5

Now I know I probably didn't have to kill them all. Just the one with the wrench. Which with a bit of effort I could figure out which one that is

Just wanna know if they have a weakness or trick to it?

Either use the thermal scope on a rifle and shoot the parasites, Or just start shooting in random points of the body and pray you get lucky and hit a parasite

The thermal scope for the riffle you can see the parts of their body,his 3 parts,if you shoot there they die.
Try kill the enemies in the chambers one by one.The thermal scope its there in the lab somewhere!

They usually have 3 parasites which are typically in their bellies and in their chest, but sometimes they get all spiky and then have a fourth in their head/mouth area. If you don't have the thermal scope you can keep shooting at their belly/chest to try and expose the bright orange/red parasites to shoot them that way as well.

I can't remember which room exactly but it's in one of those rooms in that same area. In the OG it was the freezer room but in the remake you actually get it a tiny bit later, meaning you gotta defeat 2 of them (give or take) before getting the scope I think.

Thermal Scope should be where you find the wrench? In the silver suitcase next to the final keycard station?

Btw just a small tip that might not be that significant and people probably realize: there's 4 giant test tubes with Regenerators (Regeneradores?) and you only need to hit the one with the wrench in it which we all understand, however when the enemies flood in they sometimes use their explosives to awaken the other 3 if they break the glass, so what I do is, right when I start the keycard changing process I just run right out of those rooms as fast as I can and fight the enemies outside of the Regenerators' room.
Again probably pretty obvious but I wanted to share just in case. No sense in fighting 3 extra Regenerators if you don't need to.

Ooooh! When I read the notes I figured the parasites were like tiny microbes everywhere in the body lol I did put on the thermal scope briefly but I must not of noticed the parasites

I literally dumped all my ammo on these guys hahaha Good to know for next playthrough!

That's what I like about this game, there is always a clever solution

Yep, every playthrough usually goes more smoothly than the last which is a very nice experience that kinda carries over in basically all RE games I find.

See all I had in my brain was "Ok, there's a wrench in one of these a-holes... So... Let's start shooting.." I personally freed all 4 myself all at once, proceeded to throw every single grenades I had, every shotgun shell, every magnum, rifle, handgun, etc...

Next time, I'll do it your way... Now I gotta find some ammo and stab people for a while... haha
