Blacktail exclusive upgrade?

How do you unlock it? I'm probably about halfway through the castle now, and have had the blacktail fully upgraded for awhile now, minus the exclusive upgrade. No sign of the exclusive upgrade in the tune up menu. I believe I also have the bolt thrower and TMP fully upgraded as well with no exclusive upgrade for them either.

My google-fu only comes up with "becomes available when fully upgraded" but nothing more detailed than that. Does it unlock at a certain progression point through the game, or am I missing something?

Chapter 9 - You can finally fully upgrade your weapons and unlock their exclusive upgrades.

In about chapter 9 the rest of the upgrades will be unlocked along with the exclusive. 3 levels is not the max upgrade. It's 5 levels.

Good luck bro, you need to prepare like 300k minimum in advance to reach all max into exclusive (there's a max 100k 5-slot gemstone treasure soon in chapter 9 so you have spare to spend on something else)
