Stop complaining
If your hardware is 4/5 years old, video drivers and Windows are outdated it's not the game's fault.
Denuvo affects performance up to a certain point, Resident Evil 4 Remake it's not a remastered, but a remake and needs a recent PC (2/3 years maximum)

Only thing I agree with about the RE4 remake, performance is a poor reason to bash this so is denuvo. Games bad cause its bad.

There isnt much proof of denuvo actually affecting performance. ye some games it likely does due to the devs messing up.
But people will bring up games where denuvo "affected" the fps, so you go look it up and the only reason it got affected was due to that game having two DRMs, their own and denuvo and it conflicted.

But on 4/5 year old hardware if it was pretty high end like a 1070 and a cpu around as good as a ryzen 7 4.5ghz 8core and 16gb ram. you will get solid fps. 55 on average at 85% of 1440p with fsr quality on. At high/max settings (shadows medium). Only time it drops is likely 100% cuz of the game.
Rain needs to be optimized better I think for anyone this ruins fps.
And the scope I feel like the scope renders two images, the scope image and then your normal image. dROPS 10 to 20% of your fps lul.

other than that the game is pretty well optimized, all of the RE remakes and reboots are well optimized for the most part.

But yeah denuvo in most cases will not affect fps, and if it does its a very tiny amount that you wouldnt notice. People always say theres proof it affects fps but there isnt really proof. theres far more proof that it doesnt affect fps.

And again, yes some times in rare cases denuvo can affect fps.
But in a vast majority it wont, the people that think so are like tin hat people. they "know a guy of a guy who says it affects fps so obviously its true!"
and they need to realize correlation is not causation.

no one bats an eye when the games that run good have denuvo, and most new games that are AAA and even AA run like doodoo very often and some have denuvo and obviously its some how denuvos fault.
Then theyll do an optimization patch itll run better, no one says anything. then a few patches after that optimization patch denuvo gets removed, and everyone says it was denuvo that made it run bad. While ignoring the game had several optimization patches lmao.

I run 60+ fps on lowest setting with my 10yo PC tho

I think a lot of people have some problem with their PC and suddenly the game is to blame.

My cousin owns a 11900k with an RTX 3070 ti and doesn't experience all the performance or stability issues that the people write about on Steam

most bs statement ....the game runs on ps4/xb one(10 year old hardware) and you are talking about having a pc from within the past 3 years
if you look at some benchmarks you will see even in high end systems there are frame time

You're joking, right? The 3060 Is 3 yo and Is not a card from High End system.

A 3080 12 GB could be

I have a 3060 laptop GPU at 115W, with an 8C/16T CPU at 4.6 GHZ. With settings at reasonable levels, my only drops have been due to traversal stutters and the weather effects in the village. Even then, they are always minor. Aside from that, rock solid performance across the board.

Now, I'm no expert here, but I'm going to assume people saying the game is tanking their performance are either jacking up the resolution and thinking "high end" means they can just max everything out and they should be buttery smooth (which is hardly ever the case) or they've managed to bottleneck themselves with high end GPU's and lower end CPU's, which sometimes is the case.

2/3 years maximum? Yeah no. It runs good on older than that, if it's not a jump in hardware from that time.

Honestly OP, how OFTEN do capcom / game devs changed their PC specs when developing games? Definitely not every year.

You should go ask them.

You are correct though, the game has the same specs needed to run Village. I think that’s why a lot of people are confused by certain stuttering etc.

It runs on a base Playstation 4.

Complaining and coming to a forum to see if anyone has a solution aren't the same thing. I've been to many forum posts with people trying to find answers, but I haven't seen basically anyone just going "THIS GAME SUCKS!" because of it.

Plus, I've seen just as many people getting trouble with brand new high end rigs as they do with slightly older ones.

Also, if it really was just people having old computers being the problem, then explain why I could play the Demo at max settings, but get non-stop stuttering with the main game at lowest settings. Plus, it's the exact same amount of stuttering at max settings as at the lowest settings. That's not a rig issue, that's an optimization issue. It just needs a patch, and making the problems known is part of how you make a company fix an issue.
