Chapter 10 stuck - a word of warning
So... I was accidentally goofing around with the clock puzzle in Chapter 10 during the Ashley section and just happened to guess the right time, which opened the door and skipped a chunk of her section. Unfortunately it would seem that this irredeemably broke my save because I didn't end up lowering the hidden staircase in the library or grabbing the decorated key. Unless someone can provide a solution for this, it seems you can permanently break your save in this manner. A cautionary tale.

It's not save breaking. All you miss is optional treasure.

I cannot find a way to progress past this. It seems that you need that key to get down the elevator. What other way is there to go?

There is no way to get the loot. You aren't supposed to sit there and guess. You are SOL, but this is not save breaking. You just miss a gun you can buy later and some treasure.

useless gun btw :). It's only as good as the first full mag it comes with. Otherwise it's just waste of ammo for much better rifles
