Is this Xenomorph looking thing killable? Or is he just a sponge for bullets until that elevator arrives, I'm really curious, I couldn't kill him and wasted almost all the ammo thinking he'll eventually die

I feel ur pain, I dipped out on the elevator as well, theres an achievement for killing this mofo so I have to assume its possible.

you can kill him or skip him just like in the original

you need to lure into in the the liquid nitrogen traps before you can damage it. then when it defrosts find another one and do it again.

He can be killed. If you run out of nitrogen make sure you're only hitting his head.

You have to use ALL of the nitrogen showers on him. (some can be used twice *it's random.) and you have to unload your best ammo into him. Kick him first, it'll increase bullet damage while he's down. Attacking him outside of him being frozen does like 85% reduced dmg.

That said, the showers may not be enough. If you have enough ammo, keep headshotting him after you use them all up and he'll eventually go down.

I did this on Hardcore.

You can and, depending on difficulty and gear, can take anywhere from 30sec to 4min...or you feel really spicy, you freeze then melee him...show him the basics of C Q C

Like everyone else said, yes he is killable and the liquid nitrogen will help in damaging him.

I basically used my shotgun in close quarters to deal a bunch of damage and when I ran out of nitrogen I used the bowgun's explosives to finish him off.

Edit: Also did this on Blind Hardcore. Is the reward worth it? That is debatable lol.

I shot him in the head with my pistol and stunlocked him until he died. Super easy

Thank you so much for the quick replies, yeah I realized the nitrogen thing a bit after wasting kinda all the ammo, nevertheless I got past that part, I was just wondering, he really seemed like the only mini-boss that couldn't be killed, what was in store for me after him, those 2 giants that had to be dropped in the lava, horrible experience if you don't have recipe for flashbangs

Nice, so you can stunlock him when he ducks down, lunges at you, and goes into the ceiling. Rad!

I killed him on my second try on hardcore. Took a lot of magnum, shotgun and sniper ammo and all cryo. Nerve racking but very doable.

I only dropped one of the giants into the lava when I downed it in the center of the room. Luis used explosives on the armored one and the parasite came out and I killed it like that.

I tried like 5x to kill this dude and ended up emptying my entire inventory yet he still lived. Ended up having to use all of my 14 hand cannon shots and that brought him down real damn quick.

IMO, he is one of the boss that you should just buy RPG to 1-hit kill to save ammo. You ended up with a lot more ammo since the game give you so much ammo in that boss area.

Nitrogen shower is for newbies, you don't even need that to kill him. In fact, it's a very easy boss.
