Ashley is constantly getting grabbed and wounded!

Just got Ashley and I am getting destroyed by everyone, she is constantly getting grabbed, and/or get wounded.

I have to think of a new plan for this one.

If you know things are gonna get dicey, the game lets you have her sit somewhere and or you can also just have her hide in a locker if theres one nearby

I had no idea what happened in the village Ashley went down when there was no enemies around her (i was busy with the big doge). After I cleaned everything up, I found her downed next to a cow. Picked her back up and the cow instantly attacked her and downed her again.

In my experience when i use the "loose" command to make her not stick close to me, the enemies will tend to ignore her and come for me instead unless one spawns right next to her but they will never straight up take a kill shot at her like in the original, only the plaga heads will do that.

I have to admit it was kind of funny how Leon tells Ashley that she can trust him like her father did and that he would get her out of there only to have me die a few minutes later.

Don't run through crowds of enemies, Ashley is always a few feet behind you and some enemies run as fast as you in short bursts

They made managing Ashley way harder in the remake than in the original, I really haven't found a way to reliably keep her save at all. Idk why they did it like this, I hope some modder adds a "wait" command

if you just got ashley that means youre at the church and trying to escape. literally just run and dont stop to fight anyone till youre at the bottom of the hill. ashley will follow you down and the enemy wont grab her unless you stop mid way.

this is why the game tells you to full book it with the tutorial pop up for this part. there are to many enemies at the top and its easier to run down the hill and fight them at the bottom.

I have to say the keeping Ashley safe is much more annoying and by that i mean harder and irritating of the two different controls. It's like this ♥♥♥♥♥ wants to get shot all time.

as long as you have ashley in close by mode then they wont grab her till she stops. from my whole time playing in running through enemies she has NEVER been grabbed unless i stop for a second. this is why the game even tells you to not stop running when going through enemies since they wont grab her if she is in close by mode.
